Details
This is the event where participants should design and develop electrical and electronics domain related circuits.
Rules & Regulations:
Elimination Round
(1) Individual participants are allowed.
(2) An online written test will be conducted in which 10–15 MCQ questions would be there (chart, image, text).
(3) Participants should submit their answers within a given time interval.
(4) Shortlisted participants will proceed for the next round.
Final Round (Circuit Assembly)
(5) A tool kit of electronics devices will be provided to the participants in groups.
(6) Participants will have to assemble the circuit before the given time limit.
(7) They must assemble the correct circuit on a breadboard or PCB.
(8) Ranking will be based on time, accuracy of assembly work, and technical knowledge.
(9) The first three ranked participants will be winners.
Evaluation Criteria:
Correctness of circuit (10 Marks )
Circuit design & Component placement (4 Marks): all components (resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, etc.) in the correct locations on the breadboard.
Polarity (3 Marks): polarized components like diodes, LEDs, and electrolytic capacitors oriented correctly.
Connections (3 Marks): connections made as per the schematic. This includes power and ground connections. Wires should connect the correct pins and component leads.
Neatness (10 Marks)
Wire management (3 Marks): wires cut to appropriate lengths or not Excessively long wires can lead to a messy, confusing circuit.
Component orientation (4 Marks): components placed cleanly and not haphazardly.A well-organized layout makes it easier to follow the circuit path.
Clarity (3Marks): An observer easily traces the connections and identifies the components.
Functionality (10 Marks)
Power-on test (2.5 Marks): circuit power on without any issues (e.g., shorts, excessive heat)
Operational performance (2.5 Marks): Does the circuit behave as expected? For example, if it's a blinking LED circuit, does the LED blink at the correct rate? If it's an amplifier, is the sound output correct?
Power handling (2.5Marks): Is the power supply connected correctly? Are there any obvious shorts or potential hazards?
Component integrity (2.5 Marks): Any signs of damaged components or wires
