Details
Working model prepared on one of the following civil engineering areas:
(1) Road and bridges (transportation related)
(2) Cranes and material handling equipment
(3) Irrigation
(4) Water/sewage treatment plant
(5) Renewable energy
(6) Water conservation
Rules & Regulations:
Scope of the Model:
(1) The working model must be developed within the field of civil engineering by participants.
Team Composition:
(2) A team can have a maximum of 5 members.
Development Timeframe:
(3) The model must be developed within a time duration of 3 to 10 days.
Model Dimensions:
(4) Length: 100 cm
(5) Width: 60 cm
(6) Height: 100 cm
Budget Constraints:
(7) The total cost for developing the model must not exceed Rs. 1000/-.
(8) A bill of materials (BOM) must be submitted along with the model, ensuring that the total cost does not exceed Rs. 1000/-.
Reimbursement:
(9) Each participating team will receive a reimbursement of Rs. 1000/- or the actual cost of model made whichever is less.
Selection Criteria:
(10) If the number of registered teams exceeds 10, selection will be based on a First-Come-First-Registered basis.
Model Submission:
(11) The participating team must submit their completed model at least 1 hour before the event starts.
Ownership of Selected Models:
(12) The selected working models will become the property of the UVPCE Civil Engineering Department.
(13) A payment of Rs. 2000/- will be awarded to the team members whose model is selected by the institute.
Evaluation Criteria:
(1) Adherence to specified dimensions – The model must conform to the given size limits.
(2) Material durability – The quality and strength of materials used in construction.
(3) Workmanship and functionality – The finishing, design accuracy, and working efficiency of the model.
(4) Relevance to civil engineering – The model should be directly related to civil engineering concepts and principles.
(5) Readymade working models will not be allowed for participation.
